ABOUT ME

1984 – Gijón. Spain

I am an artist from the north of Spain, who now lives in Copenhagen. My books have been published in Spain, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, China and the USA.

My drawings have been chosen in different art exhibitions around the world. In 2023 and 2021, my illustrations were exhibited at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. In 2018, I received a Special Mention at the Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrators Competition at the Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair in China. My illustrations were also selected in 2020 at the BIBF Ananas International Illustration Exhibition in Beijing. In 2018, I was also a finalist in the Illustration Exhibition at the 11th International Illustration Meeting in S. Joao da Madeira, Portugal, and in the Nami Concours in South Korea. Additionally, I have been chosen at the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival in the United Arab Emirates three times.

In 2023, I embarked on a textile illustration project through which I launched a brand of sustainable textile accessories and jewelry.

From my small studio in my house in Denmark, right now as you read this, I’m probably drawing, reading, or learning to knit. I’m very curious and always trying to do different things, but among the things I love most are playing, walking, and goofing around with my son. With him, I’m learning to see the world with a magnifying glass, which allows me to notice tiny details that, although they may seem unimportant, hold wonderful secrets.
